Lea Citrin Whitney has prepared Bar/Bat Mitzvah children for over 20 years. A graduate of the Maimonides School in Boston, she is well versed in Torah learning. In addition to Hebrew, she speaks Yiddish fluently.Â
She holds a BA from Northeastern Univiersity. She worked as a social worker in Boston and Chicago and later became a human resources consultant for several Fortune 100 companies in NYC.
A child of Holocaust survivors, Morah Lea, as she is fondly called by her students, found her true passion in Jewish education and currently works at a USCJ synagogue as a senior educator. Her background, education and experience make for a compassionate, sensitive, motivating teacher uniquely capable in working with children who have learning disabilities as well as those who thrive learning one-to-one.
